How we picked these strollers
This guide is research only. Little Ones Lab has no hands-on testing program for strollers, and no pick here comes from time pushing these models. The shortlist follows the consensus of published expert reviews at BabyGearLab, Wirecutter and What to Expect, checked against manufacturer and retailer specifications for width, weight, folded size, seat weight limits and car-seat compatibility.
Every stroller in this guide was checked against the CPSC recall database in October 2026. Every pick passed that check for the model as it is sold today. Models with an active CPSC recall or safety warning were left out of this guide.
Widths matter with a double stroller. A standard interior door is about 32 inches wide. Every pick below is 31.1 inches wide or narrower, so every pick rolls through that door opening. The width for each stroller sits in its spec table.
The quick picks
Start with the layout. Tandem strollers run narrow and long. Side-by-side strollers give both children the same seat and the same view. Tap any pick to jump straight to the full breakdown.

Layout, doorway, car seats and trunk space decide most double stroller purchases.
Tandem or side-by-side
Tandem strollers seat children front and back. They run narrow, steer through shops and hallways easily, and several models in this guide start as single strollers and add a second seat later. Side-by-side strollers seat children next to each other with equal seats and equal views. They push evenly with two children of different sizes and run wider.
Measure the doorway
A standard interior door is about 32 inches wide. The picks in this guide run from 23.25 inches (Chicco BravoFor2) to 31.1 inches (Thule Urban Glide 3 Double). Every pick fits through a 32-inch door. The Thule leaves little clearance, so measure any narrower door on your daily route.
Count the car seats
Two picks take two infant car seats at once: the UPPAbaby Vista V3 and the Graco Ready2Grow 2.0. Seven picks take one car seat, usually with an adapter sold separately. The Joovy Scooter X2 takes none and starts at 3 months. Twins in the infant stage need the two-car-seat group or a separate plan for the first months.
Check the fold against your trunk
Folded sizes here run from the Minu Duo at 12.9 × 27.8 × 23.7 inches to the BOB Duallie at 40 × 30.5 × 17.5 inches. Measure the trunk or storage closet with the folded dimensions in the spec tables before ordering.
Specifications are based on published manufacturer and retailer information for the listed models. Recall status was checked against the CPSC recall database in October 2026. Check the current product listing for package contents and compatibility before ordering.
